Within the first 15 minutes, 3 different newspapers, 3 city officials, and reps of Carol Shea-Porter's showed up. NH Carbon Coalition was there. Cold and rainy, but people from the public were still coming out. Estimated attendence is based on this attendee's sole 1/2 hour.

We had a small but enthusiastic turnout after very short notice, who came to hear 7 speakers, including representatives from local, state and federal governments. Also in attendance was a large but shy polar bear, who kept muttering something about "too much water; not enough ice!" After braving the elements and chatting with local media under a too small tent, we retreated to a comfortable front room of a nearby retail establishment to listent to formal remarks from the speakers. The event ended with petitions, letter-writing materals and CFL light bulbs being passed all around.
