We had speakers come to talk about climate change and the importance of legislation. Our speakers included the Raging Grannies, Stanford professor and writer of the IPCC report, Terry Root, Stanford student Dawn Maxey who performed a Spoken Word poem about how to make green sustainable, the mayor of Menlo Park, Kelly Fergusson, and CA state representative Ira Ruskin.

WIth a high of 78 and no clouds whatsoever, students, faculty, and friends headed over to Old Union Court where we had awesome speakers, amazing signs, and much support from the community. We had a petition for participants to sign, a table with videos and the oportunity for people to be a part of our Green Finger- Stanford project.
our theme, WHO'S THE LEADER, focused our event towards the importance of letting our politicians know we care and they should too, furthermore, they should "step it up".
thanks to everyone who stepped it up today!
