Event Description:
Across Iowa, environmentalists, farmers, union members, businesses, religious leaders, and concerned citizens are working to promote renewable energy and stop global warming.
On November 3rd, we will gather at the
State Capitol building to see who among our representatives has a real plan to lead the country to global warming solutions.
Governor Culver, Congressman Boswell, and state and local representatives have been invited to share what actions they will be taking to stop global warming.
We may even hear from a presidential candidate or two.
Join us at the Capitol, film a video message to our representatives, participate in our kid's art project, help us build "wind turbines" around the Capitol grounds, or just enjoy an afternoon with community members who want to see action on global warming now!

For anyone interested in volunteering in the days leading up to Step it Up or at the event itself, we are having a meeting on Wednesday, Oct 24th, 7:00PM at Java Joe's Coffee Shop in downtown Des Moines.
